Jayne brings her years of advertising and copy writing experience to the forefront as Media Relations Manager and writer for Alternative Strategies. As a graduate of San Diego State, where she received a B.A. in Graphic Communications and Creative Writing, and as a member of UCSD’s Copy Editing Certification program, Jayne is dedicated to her profession and her love of the marketing and advertising industry. Her career took off right after college when she was hired as an Art Director for a large San Diego-based advertising agency. After six years of experience designing ads and media campaigns for accounts such as, Taco Bell, Imperial Savings Bank and IVAC pharmaceuticals, Jayne began her own design firm which she successfully ran for many years. Jayne’s passion for the written word eventually inspired her to devote her energy to writing, which resulted in her adding the term “Copy Writer” to her career repertoire. She thus became a feature writer for a national horse magazine, the winner of San Diego Book Awards Association’s Poetry and Chapter Book Division, a children’s book author and guest speaker, and an editor of children’s books (many which have gone on to win National Awards). Committing herself fully to her passion, Jayne was hired as a Senior Copy Writer at a prominent advertising agency in San Diego in 2006. Her ads have been placed in such publications as Golf Digest, Young Rider Magazine, San Diego Home and Garden Magazine and New Homes Magazines throughout Las Vegas and California. More recently, Jayne is excited to have joined Alternative Strategies as a Media Relations Manager, continuing to put to good use her past experience as an advertising designer, writer and creative team player. In her spare time, Jayne travels, rides her horse, experiments in the kitchen as a true-blue “foodie” and, of course, she writes like crazy! |
