Kathryn Garcia Schuster believes in hard work and a tenacious spirit to ensure the success of her clients and of the company.

Kathryn joined Alternative Strategies after moving from South Texas when her husband obtained a job in Rancho Bernardo. In Texas, Kathryn was a public relations professional working for the Corpus Christi Convention and Visitors Bureau as a communications manager.

Before entering PR, Kathryn was an award-winning, ambitious print reporter who broke the story on Vice President Dick Cheney shooting his friend at a South Texas ranch. Her resolve and diligence to get that story garnered national attention and launched her into a career as an on-air, television reporter in Phoenix, Arizona.

Kathryn graduated from Texas Christian University with a bachelor in journalism and Spanish and later with a Master Degree in Liberal Arts.

When not working, Kathryn will most likely be found exploring the hiking and biking trails in and around Southern California. She also enjoys reading, baking, traveling and playing disc golf.
