James is the eye behind Alternative Strategies’ best photography work. A true artist, he believes that a picture says much more than a thousand words. It speaks to the sensibilities of the photographer, sensibilities backed by a lifetime of experience. And his life has had quite a few experiences!

Raised in a small cabin outside of Fairbanks, Alaska, with no running water or constant heat source, James learned early on in life to appreciate what he has. His childhood surroundings also gave him the prime backdrop to develop his photographic eye.

James is proud to know that his passion has also become his profession. His work is the physical expression of his appreciation for all the beauty and blessings that surround him everyday.
