Until now I’ve always thought “time flies when you’re having fun” was just a popular cliché. But as I take this time to reflect on the past 8 years, I can’t think of any more accurate way to best summarize my feelings. It truly seems like it was only months ago that I was setting up shop at our first office.

There are many amazing people along the way who have inspired our work, but I would like to start by thanking my amazing team (Jane, Karina, Angelo, Erin, Nicole, Kari, Courtney, Jay and Leticia).  The one thing I felt that I could control by operating my own business was whom I hired. I knew that it’s very important to enjoy the people with whom you work. And I can honestly say that I love each of my employees and enjoy coming into work with them every day. We’re a family and we care so much about each another that we’re all affected when one of us is having an off day. Yes, we work closely together and we take pride in growing the business of our clients. I thank each of you for always contributing your best insights and your brightest ideas, and for taking on and achieving every project as a combined effort.

I must give a special acknowledgement to Jane Wong who has been with me for the past 6 years. Also, I need to thank all of our vendors sharing in the philosophy that we have to provide the best experience for our clients. After all, there’s plenty going on behind the scenes to execute what we do for our clients. It requires great vendors. So thank you very much.

On a more personal note, I would like to thank all those who have provided support and encouragement to me along the way. Plus I thank God for the many blessings and opportunities I’ve been gifted. I want to thank my family and friends, as well as my coaches and mentors. And for sure a special thank you to Donovan Edwards. He’s no longer with us, but he was by my side when Alternative Strategies was just a thought.

Lastly, I want to thank every client we’ve had the opportunity to work with.  Frankly, I love what I do and would do it for free. Wait… over the past 8 years there have been times when I have worked for free! I suppose what I’m saying is that I feel that what we do is very rewarding in its own special way. Much of our growth has been because we’re able to learn from every client, while at the same time contributing to the success of their business.

Ideally and productively we partner with our clients and take pride in identifying innovative ways to enhance their business. If you are a past or present client… Thank you for allowing us the opportunity to serve you.
